Power Capacitors find its application in improving the power factor and thereby enhancing overall efficiency of the installation. An improved power factor releases the system capacity to accommodate additional load. Reduces maximum demand (kVA) and current drawn and improves voltage regulation and equipment life. Besides, it accrues financial, commercial benefits by way of · Savings in Demand charges (KVA) · Eliminating low Power factor penalties.
GE offers following types of capacitors
- MPP - Metallised Polypropylene
- APP - All Polypropylene (Film - Foil type)
- MD - Mixed Dielectric (non-self healing type)
