Power Protection is the IEC arm of GE Consumer & Industrial of the 11 key businesses of the General Electric, Company of the USA.

Power Protection is a first class Global supplier of low voltage products, including wiring devices, residential and industrial electrical components, general purpose control products, enclosures and switchboards, as well as engineering solutions for industrial process automation.

GE Consumer & Industrial is headquartered in Budapest, but has a global presence, with 36 Manufacturing facilities in 16 countries across Europe and beyond, for example in India and Egypt, and some 26,000 employees. We have Sales operations in 20 countries, with sales to more than 60 countries, and affiliates and distributors in 100 countries. Since its creation in 1989, the company has grown rapidly, through the acquisition and partnership of ten businesses in different countries and the recent integration of two businesses of Industrial Systems, Industrial Systems Solutions GmbH (Germany) and Procond Elettronica (Italy).

The Power Protection network has been developed through these acquisitions and integrations. The most significant in the UK being GEC Alsthom LVE (Low Voltage Equipment) in Liverpool.
